The Biggar Gin Small Batch Big Mentality
Small Batch Spirits, Biggar Mentality
About
We are a family business started and owned by two brothers.
Biggar Gin is the result of our small batch philosophy; the combination of tradition and innovation and a sense of place.
Our small batch gin has a Biggar Mentality.
What is Biggar mentality?
Biggar mentality is all about a small scale, rare, batch philosophy that reflects a passion, ambition and taste which is big. From our home at the foot of the Tinto Hills by the Scottish town of Biggar local botanicals have inspired us to think big. Our local town has always welcomed innovation while respecting its past. It punches above its weight.
We hope you agree that Biggar Gin does too.
A craftperson’s approach
With craft and care we combine and blend ingredients that are natural to our unique setting. We use updated distilling methods and are constantly refining processes and adapting new methods.
Our ethos is to share knowledge and be open in our approach. We want to create relationships with our gin drinkers and develop new blends based on constant, innovating sampling and honest feedback.
Original Recipe Biggar Gin
Our Original Recipe Biggar Gin is our flagship product, produced in batches of no more than 140 bottles at a time. Winner of the London Dry Gin Category of the Gin Guide Awards 2018, Biggar Gin is a very smooth and well balanced spirit.

Available bottle sizes: 5cl, 20cl, 50cl, 70cl
Botanicals: Including juniper, coriander seeds, cardamom, cassia bark, orange, lemon, rosehip, rowan berries, nettles, pink peppercorn, lavender
Perfect serves
We tend to serve our Original gin with an original tonic water – something like Cushiedoos tonic is not too overpowering and lets the taste of the gin shine through. We garnish with a little fresh orange peel and plenty of large ice cubes.

Tasked with creating the best Biggar-based cocktail possible, contestants were judged on a range of criteria, including taste and presentation, with the winner being invited to The Stillhouse to create their own spirit ‘The Bartender’s Cut’.
This was a tough one to judge, but our top 3 entries were…
