The One and Only Newcastle Gin

Founded by Harry Vaulkhard in 2013. Newcastle Gin is made in Newcastle’s only distillery, just feet from the ancient City wall on Gallowgate behind St James Park. Every drop is lovingly hand crafted over 72 hours and taken to bottling strength using highly purified Newcastle water.

The Newcastle Gin Collection featuring a 700ml bottle of Gold Award Winning Newcastle London Dry Gin, a 700ml bottle of Newcastle Pink Gin and a 700ml bottle of Newcastle Rhubarb and Ginger Gin.

The original award winning Newcastle Gin, lovingly created at our commercial distillery within the ancient Newcastle City walls at Bealim House, Gallowgate.

Gold Medal Award Winning Gin. Our Original Newcastle “London Dry” Gin won a Gold medal award at the 2020 World Gin Awards in the London Dry category from over 4000 entries.

Crafted over a 72 hour period using a blend of age-old distilling craft and modern techniques at our Newcastle Distillery. Our light floral gin is infused with subtle notes of juniper, sumac, orange peel, Iranian hibiscus, rose petal and coriander, and a couple of secret ingredients.

A twist on the original award winning Newcastle Gin, lovingly created at our commercial distillery within the ancient Newcastle City walls at Bealim House, Gallowgate to create a sweet full strength gin with subtle notes of raspberries and strawberries.

It takes over seventy-two hours for us to lovingly create our light floral gin using a combination of age-old distilling techniques, including maceration and vapour infusion through a 450L traditional copper pot still with our vapour botanical basket. We even use Newcastle City water to take down the final “new make spirit” from 78% to a strong but hearty 40%.

Newcastle Gin and Glenn Malpass Art have collaborated to create 25 very special bottles of gin. Each bottle is individually hand painted and named then associated with a Newcastle Gin perfect serve.

Each of the bottles can be purchased and collected just in time for Christmas, with a donation of all sales going to The Great North Air Ambulance.

Kind, and caring, most of the time, but be warned, he’s not to be crossed when he’s tired with a Martini in hand.

He enjoys his favourite drink like 007… Martini – Classic Newcastle Gin London dry martini served with a zest and twist of lemon.

The best way to experience the true flavour of Newcastle London Dry Gin… The dryer the better…

Wakes at 4am every single day, he’s strong, loud and courageous, an individual that doesn’t want for attention nor care for your hugs and kisses.

His drink of choice is simple – Newcastle Gin and Elderflower tonic topped with Prosecco and garnished with cucumber, no messing about.

Historically, a hospital and chapel named St. James’ stood near where the Great North Museum building now stands in Newcastle, which is in proximity to where St James’ Park now stands. The church of St James was a significant landmark in the area, and the park’s name pays homage to its presence.

St James’ Park is a football stadium in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is the home of Newcastle United. With a seating capacity of 52,350 seats, it is the 8th largest football stadium in England.

St James’ Park has been the home ground of Newcastle United F.C since 1892 and has been used for football since 1880. Throughout its history, the desire for expansion has caused conflict with local residents and the local council. This has led to proposals to move at least twice in the late 1960s, and a controversial 1995 proposed move to nearby Leazes Park. Reluctance to move has led to the distinctive lop-sided appearance of the present-day stadium’s asymmetrical stands.

Besides club football, St James’ Park has also been used for international football, at the 2012 Olympics, for the rugby league Magic Weekend, rugby union World Cup, Premiership and England Test matches, charity football events, rock concerts, and as a set for film and reality television.

Newcastle United is a leading football club based in North East England. Founded in 1892, the Club has won the English League Championship 4 times, and the FA Cup 6 times. St James’ Park is the home of Newcastle United and regularly attracts 52,000 passionate supporters, commonly known as the Toon Army.
