Our Gin is enriched with hand foraged botanicals from our fascinating and mysterious Glen. Our key sustainable botanicals are Noble Fir, Scots Pine and Spruce leaves unveiling a Citrus essence, complimenting the traditional Juniper of our classic dry Gin.

Kilmartin Glen is one of Scotland’s richest pre-historic landscapes. It was of profound significance to its people, spanning 5000 years. At its heart is Kilmartin Village.

Influenced and inspired by the rugged, botanically bountiful Kilmartin Glen in Argyll over the hill from the wild west coast waters. In the mysteriously historic glen, we hand forage for our key sustainable botanicals, Noble Fir, Scots Pine and Norwegian Spruce. Complimenting the classic dry Gin trio of Juniper, Coriander and Angelica which are meticulously sourced from around the world to shape our premium spirit.

About

We are Louise & Greig MacPhail, founders of Kilmartin Glen Spirits. We have had a passion for Gin for many years. The MacPhail family has had roots in Kilmartin village for over 100 years, we wanted to create a legacy for the MacPhail generations to come within Kilmartin Glen and it made sense to combine our passion for Gin, our history, the abundance of botanicals and history of craft spanning 5000 years on our doorstep. Having had limited experience in distilling but a passion to learn we have partnered with the best crafts people in to learn and grow from.

Our aim is to have our own micro distillery in Kilmartin Glen as soon as we can. We feel that this special little area in Argyll which is soaked in an abundance of historical significance is worthy of a sustainable, honest, and ethical Distillery of its very own. We will strive to achieve a new landmark that the communities around it will be proud to support and in turn support our communities.

Kilmartin Gin

Only the finest botanicals are used in our gin, and with the help of Mark Williams of Galloway Wild Foods we identified the most sustainable botanicals from Kilmartin Glen. These botanicals are picked by the MacPhail’s – the young generation too! We hope to be distilling ourselves in Kilmartin Glen as soon as we can, until then we have been lucky enough to partner with some of the very best crafts people in the spirit business to create a very special Gin! Our lovely refreshing Gin is bottled in a secluded micro distillery amongst the rich farmlands of Lanark, Scotland.

Kilmartin Glen is the name given to the broad valley extending south from the village of Kilmartin, found north of Lochgilphead and south of Oban. The vast collection of Neolithic monuments makes up one of the UK’s richest archaeological landscapes. There have been many new discoveries and most definitely more to find!
