Wishing you a prosperous year 2025 to all my Gin Blog followers
In the meantime, it has been 13 months since the start of my WordPress Gin Distillery Blog and I must say it is growing. 245,000 people have already visited my website, some for a little longer than others, but that doesn’t matter. These figures are inspiring enough to continue my work. Earlier I, Marco Heyrman, indicated that I do everything alone and it has remained that way for 13 months and I wouldn’t want it any other way at the moment. We can safely say that the start is certainly not bad, but everything can be much better and continuing to be critical about the content and design remains endless for me
411 pages and 64 post pages are already in development, but believe me, it is a hazardous job because I want to avoid writing nonsense about other people’s work. Any Gin distillery and its staff would not appreciate it if I wrote bad things about them. Gathering the right information takes me a lot of time, which I like to spend, of course, that goes without saying. This blog already has 4400 images and 110 videos and I don’t think I’m even half way there yet. SEO is 100% in Page Speed Insight, but you should know that I have still not played to my strengths.
When the website will be completely finished, probably never, because new things are always being added, but when my target is reached, all the content will move to an appropriate URL, a name that better reflects the content. Nothing has been done yet about linkbacks because you don’t ask colleagues for a link to your website if it is not finished and does not yet have the correct URL. I expect that move to take place in the course of 2025, depending on the time I can spend, since November 2023 that has been an average of 4 hours every day, but every day!
