GŴYR, 43% Alc/Vol
Our classic GŴYR original gin is made with foraged green and bronze fennel from local beaches blended with fresh zest of lemon and pink grapefruit for an aromatic and zesty London Dry.
Serve with pared orange or a thin slice of pink grapefruit.
Our flagship gin was awarded The Gin Guide’s Best in Wales 2019 and our 5th Anniversary Distiller’s Cut won Gold in the World Gin Awards 2023 and Best Welsh London Dry.
RHOSILI, 45% Alc/Vol
GŴYR Rhosili is made in conjunction with the Dylan Thomas Estate to commemorate his strong links with Gower. This fresh gin ‘sings of the sea’ with sea buckthorn, lime, gorse and linden flower. Cut at 45% for a creamy finish, we suggest it is served with a slice of lime or a sprig of rosemary.

SEA STAR, 47% Alc/Vol
GŴYR Seren y Mor / Sea Star is a fresh coastal gin made with foraged Welsh laver seaweed, lemon balm, bergamot and rich crushed Serbian juniper. Every launch bottle comes with a limited edition ceramic starfish pendant from Gill Bramley ceramics.
Our GŴYR Sea Star was a Gin Guide Awards 2024 winner in the Coastal Category and has won a Gold Award and Best Welsh London Dry in the World Gin Awards 2024.
SUNFLOWER,43% Alc/Vol
Created by Laura as a Mother’s Day gin for our friends at the Craft Gin Club, GŴYR Blodau’r Haul / Sunflower
takes its inspiration from Gower’s sunflower fields and both sunflower petals and honey are used as botanicals. Apricots and cranberries add a fruity note which is balanced with white pepper on the finish.
Sunflower was awarded a Bronze medal in the World Gin Awards 2024.
LANGLAND, 43% Alc/Vol
It was a huge privilege to collaborate with talented Welsh artist Craig Jones.
Craig lives on the Gower peninsula and creates beautiful designs from the local area using vibrant colours and shapes. He is inspired by the coastline and often delivers to his customers on his bike to keep things sustainable.
The label features details from Craig’s iconic artwork of Langland beach huts. This deeply flavoured gin is juniper forward with a clean, sea-fresh finish from zesty citrus to make a classic Langland & Tonic!
Langland has won a Silver medal in the Global Spirits Masters 2024
NERTH Y DDRAIG / DRAGON STRENGTH, 60% Alc/Vol
The fire and smoke of a dragon’s breath along with the majesty of Worm’s Head in Rhossili were the inspiration for this 60% Dragon’s Strength gin.
The recipe is based on ‘Rhosili’ gin with the added fire and smoke of dragons from cubeb pepper, grains of paradise and lapsang souchong tea.
Our Dragon Strength won a Silver medal in the London Spirits Competition 2021 and a Silver medal in the IWSC (International Wine & Spirit Competition) 2021.
Additions to our range
SLOE GIN, 30% Alc/Vol
We had teams of helpers foraging sloes for our sloe gin, which we launched in December 2020. From foraging local Scout troops to grandparents with their grandchildren, this sloe gin really was a community effort. Every year we release a new batch of our sloe gin in the autumn and each year since its launch we have sold out!
Our Sloe Gin won the prestigious Gold Country award – Best Welsh Sloe – in World Gin Awards 2021 and a Silver medal in the London Spirits Competition 2021 and a Winner in the Sloe Gin category and Geographic High Scorer in the Gin Guide Awards 2022 and 2023.
GLYNDWR & GWYR Vermouth
It has been a fantastic project with Wales’ oldest vineyard, Glyndwr to create a growing range of Vermouths. With Glyndwr’s delicious wine, we have created a Semi-Dry and Rosso vermouth and a bottled Negroni.
We were over the moon that our first project together won World’s Best Semi-Dry in the World Vermouth Awards in 2022.
Meet Our Team
Laura is Head of Distillery Operations and is a key member of our team, keeping us all on track! Laura is an accomplished distiller and she brings huge enthusiasm for the distilling process as well as specialist knowledge from her degree in Chemistry.
Owain is our Tasting Events Manager and entertains all our gin garden visitors with his banter! Following his Master’s in Management, Owain loves to research new and emerging trends to feed into our new product development and he is, of course, our chief taster!
Our ray of sunshine Carys is always on hand, in between university studies, to help with shows, prepare mail order and label bottles!
…and of course Dodge (m), our Distillery rescue cat. Dodge loves to come on foraging trips to the beach and welcomes all visitors to the distillery.
The Sharing Table Cymru
We support The Sharing Table Cymru charity which helps disadvantaged children and their families on Gower and Swansea and Siân is a trustee of the charity.

Siân & Andrew
The Gower Gin Company, an award-winning Welsh gin distillery, is owned and run by Siân and Andrew Brooks and was voted Industry Choice Distillery in the Gin Guide Awards 2022.
After a long career in Management Consultancy, Andrew is now a full-time distiller. He is passionate about foraging, distilling and creating new recipes.
Siân is now involved in the gin business full-time after a career lecturing and teaching French and Spanish. Siân is constantly on a mission to find the perfect Breton jumper to match the Gower Gin label.
Wales Food and Drink Awards: Sustainable Business of the Year 2022
We love Gower and we try everything we can to protect the environment. Sustainability governs all the decisions we make and we are constantly reviewing our processes.
All of our packaging is recycled and recyclable and we have eliminated plastic in all packing.
We forage for botanicals using the Foraging Code as this helps keep Gower special for everyone. Our base grain spirit is Soil Association organic, our rum is Fair Trade and organic and we buy local and ethically sourced botanicals where possible.
We sell our gin in both bottles (now with 65% recycled content and significantly lighter in weight) and eco-pouches; both glass bottles and the pouches are recyclable, and if you live in Swansea the bottles can also be refilled in Cheers Wine Merchants in the Mumbles – they are just two different ways of ensuring a circular loop is created for re-using and recycling raw materials to ensure as much re-use as possible, reducing the pressure on obtaining new natural materials. We know also that many of our gin fans like to up-cycle our bottles into lights, candles, vases and even bird feeders.
We were delighted with being Highly Commended for Environmental Sustainability in Gin Guide Awards 2021 and winning Sustainable Business of the year in the Food and Drinks Awards Wales 2022.
GWYR Distillery Visit Us
We are now taking bookings for our gin garden (suitable for all weather conditions) in Port Eynon. Click on the Visit-Us button to see which days and sessions are available. If you cannot find a suitable slot, please message us and we will do our best to help.
We have accommodated up to 14 but that can be a bit of a squeeze. Please send us a message through the website if you are a larger group and we will see what we can do.
The tasting sessions last around 60-90 minutes. There is no charge for the visit. Well behaved dogs on a lead are always welcome!
If interested you will be able to buy all our gins and other gifts in our distillery shop.

Our bespoke service gives you a range of flexible options and a low cost of entry, so that you can test your local market at an affordable price.

We were delighted to work with our good friends at Cheers Wine Merchants to produce this delicious London Dry gin. Here’s Dafydd’s words: “Handcrafted to mark the long awaited birth of my daughter Ivy Lucy Morris. This truly is a celebratory gin. Wild thyme foraged from the Gower coast along with orange and juniper combine to create a smooth, citrussy and refreshing London Dry Gin”.
Best served over ice with Fever-Tree tonic water and a slice of orange.
MONMOUTH GIN
One of the joys for us is when we see companies we have worked with, set up their own distillery.
It was such a pleasure to work with Tracy and Graham and we love reading about their successes from their own distillery in Monmouth. Their recipe, which includes barberries and lime, is absolutely delicious and is multi award-winning too!
