About Us
Born in the heart of Dronfield, Derbyshire, Dancing Anchor Spirits is a local award winning distillery set up by Amy & David, both of whom share a passion for quality, interesting and flavourful products.
We produce small batch artisan craft spirits, with an ever-growing range.
The name Dancing Anchor Spirits derives from Amy & David’s links with the UK, Cayman Islands and Sardinia, all of which are Island Nations. The Anchor represents these links and forms part of the logo. As a couple we also share a rapture and love for dance music, so when creating the name and logo, we thought headphones would work well to give us our ‘Dancing Anchor’. Spirits, speaks for itself – we love a good spirit and what better way to show this by sharing our passion and creations, we opened our own distillery for all to enjoy!
Throughout our range of spirits, we use a combination of local and international botanicals, this gives our spirits an interesting flavoursome twist. Where possible we forage the botanicals ourselves whether it be home grown from our beautiful cottage garden, our medieval herb garden, local sustainable sources or trips offshore!

A classic London Dry Gin distilled using traditional botanicals, with the addition of orange peel, kaffir lime, ginger and grains of paradise.

Inspired by a 19th century cocktail. Distilled using traditional botanicals and subtly flavoured, with strawberries, rose, hibiscus and pink peppercorn.

A modern twist on this classic, sweeter style of gin. Ideal for making cocktails. Distilled using traditional botanicals, with the addition of liquorice, candid peel, lavender and locally sourced honey.

Amy
Director & Co-Founder
Amy loves being creative, has an innovative mind set and takes all of our awesome photos!
Involved in creating new brands, initial bottle designs, coming up with new flavours, she also makes small crafts for our gift shop.
Dubbed our ‘Cocktail Genius’, having worked over 13 years in the bar industry, she has studied and gained experience in mixology, bartending and event coordinating at her second home in the Cayman Islands, ‘Island of rum’ and throughout the UK.
Whilst currently working as an Accountant, opening a Distillery has been a dream come true and allows her to use her passion, knowledge and experience throughout!
Amy loves – Travelling, Horse riding, Socialising and Photography.
David
Head Distiller & Co-Founder
David is a multi Award winning Distiller and Brewer, with over 12 years in the drinks industry. Having gained his experience working throughout the UK, Italy and a place close to heart, Sardinia.
He has a passion for creating new flavours, uses traditional methods to distill, creating classic styles of spirits with a modern artisan twist! He has a taste for producing only the finest quality products.
He also owns a multi award winning Pub, The Brown Cow, Mansfield – where you can sample a perfect serve of all of our spirits.
David loves – Craft Beers and Spirits, Cooking and Travelling.
