Brighton Gin is a renowned brand that has gained popularity for its fine, crisp, and bright taste. This gin is distilled in small batches in the vibrant seaside town of Brighton, England. The careful selection of botanicals and the distillation process contribute to the unique flavor profile of this gin, making it a favorite among gin enthusiasts.

One of the key characteristics of Brighton Gin is its crisp taste. The distillers behind this gin have perfected the art of balancing the botanicals to create a smooth and refreshing flavor. The juniper berries used in the distillation process impart a subtle piney taste, while citrus peels add a zesty and fresh note. The end result is a gin that is light on the palate yet full of complex flavors that linger long after each sip.

The bright taste of Brighton Gin is another aspect that sets it apart from other gins on the market. The addition of fresh orange and lime peel lends a vibrant and citrusy aroma to this spirit. These bright notes cut through the earthy undertones of the gin, creating a well-rounded and refreshing drink. Whether enjoyed neat or in a cocktail, Brighton Gin is guaranteed to brighten up any occasion.

The fine quality of Brighton Gin is evident from the moment it hits your taste buds. This gin is made using only the finest ingredients, sourced from local suppliers whenever possible. The distillers take great care in crafting each batch to ensure a consistent and premium product every time. The attention to detail and dedication to quality shine through in every bottle of Brighton Gin.

In conclusion, Brighton Gin is a fine spirit that offers a crisp, bright, and refreshing taste that is sure to please even the most discerning gin connoisseur. From its carefully selected botanicals to its meticulous distillation process, every aspect of this gin is crafted with precision and care. Whether enjoyed on its own or mixed into a cocktail, Brighton Gin is a delightful and versatile spirit that is sure to become a staple in any home bar.

Our Story

Brighton Gin was born of a passion for gin, and a passion for the place where we live and play – we wanted to create a gin that embodies the Spirit of Brighton: unusual, playful and fiercely independent.

It started back in 2012 with months of experimentation with different ingredients, combinations, distilling techniques and approaches, and more than one or two accidents along the way (but we lived to tell the tale!) and lots of trying out recipes on fellow gin-loving friends until we finally hit the perfect blend.

Our distillation process removes the gluten from Brighton Gin, and we’re also the first craft gin to be certified 100% vegan, which includes our wax bottle tops and the gum we use to stick our labels.

True to our founding principles, each bottle is carefully washed and filled by hand, we stick each label on and dip every one in wax ourselves: no factory production lines here. We also try to keep our carbon footprint down by delivering in Brighton and Hove on our specially adapted gin bike – that’s a lot of huffing and puffing up some of those hills!

Brighton Gin 40% Pavilion Strength is our original hand-made craft British gin. Clear and bright in the glass, the subtle notes of juniper and persistent hints of orange make this gin gentle and approachable. This multi award-winning gin is a favourite in a classic G&T or as a base for a range of cocktails.

This is a subtle, ruminative gin and, thanks to its softness, Brighton Gin is also delicious sipped neat, over ice with a slice of orange. Brighton Gin’s botanicals include lime, milk thistle and locally grown coriander seeds. It’s also 100% vegan and gluten free!

Kathy’s recommendation.

“I absolutely love Brighton Gin, neat over ice, sipped slowly. As a long drink, I like it paired with soda or a naturally light tonic. When it comes to cocktails, I love a Brighton Gin Negroni or a Sussex 75, our riff on a French 75 but using Brighton Gin and Sussex sparkling wine, joy in a glass and gets any party going with a bang!”

We only use certified 100% organic pure wheat spirit – super smooth, and without any of the nasties that can give you a sore and sorry head – which we re-distill with juniper, fresh orange and lime peel, locally-grown coriander seed (the first UK commercially grown coriander seed in over 200 years) and milk thistle, which is indigenous to the South Downs and renowned for its kindness to the liver function.

The result makes a deeply refreshing G&T and, thanks to its softness, Brighton Gin is also delicious sipped neat, or over ice with a slice of orange. It’s also 100% vegan and gluten free.

Enjoy Brighton Gin in a classic G&T, great for any time of year. We recommend a splash of premium tonic, plenty of fresh ice and a slice of fresh orange to garnish to bring out the citrus notes in the Pavilion Strength.

Our new Spice Circuit gin is proudly handmade with South Indian spices – perfect in cocktails or as a G&T with a twist!

Brighton Gin is delighted to announce an exciting new chapter in our gin journey with the creation of a new South Indian spice-inspired style.

The spices are all sourced from a single small batch farm in Kerala that Kanthi has been working with for years now, and they include curry leaf, mace and black pepper.

When chef Kanthi Thamma approached Brighton Gin to collaborate on a spice infused drink which would complement his award-winning dishes, it presented an opportunity to experiment with an exciting range of new botanicals and flavours.

As Kanthi explains, “I am a big fan of gin and even bigger fan of Brighton Gin. Sustainable, local, small batch, top quality, legends… What’s not to like about it?”

Spice Circuit Gin combines the aroma of fragrant curry leaf on the nose, the roundness of mace, the zing of black pepper and just a hint of cardamom, as well as juniper and coriander. We hope you’re going to love it as much as we do!

Brighton Gin founder Kathy Caton said, “When Kanthi approached us with his idea for a spiced gin, we got to experimenting straight away.”It’s been incredible to work with a whole new flavour palette and there were some technical challenges to perfect the balance, but when it had Kanthi’s seal of approval, we knew we’d nailed it.”

And of course, in true Brighton Gin style, it’s hand-made locallysmall batch and distinctively unique, and we think it’s going to appeal both to seasoned gin lovers and people wanting to try something new to pair with Kanthi’s delicious cuisine.

It’s perfect for cocktails, as a spicy G&T or even served neat with some ginger and curry leaf if you’re feeling adventurous. And at 46% ABV it certainly packs a flavourful punch!

It’s available in 700ml, 350ml or 50ml bottles, either individually or as part of gift sets with a glass. It’s also 100% vegan (including the wax top and label gum!) and it’s gluten free.

Our Brighton Gin Seaside Navy Strength Gin has dropped anchor for good time gulls and buoys everywhere!

Juniper is the star attraction but there’s a cascade of zesty citrus on the nose with hints of candied orange, a whisper of pine and spice too. It’s rich and creamy in the mouth and deliciously satisfying when swallowed, with no hint of burn. The waves of citrus finish go on forever, backed by an exhilarating underlying seaside freshness.

At 57% proof, it also holds the juniper flavour better and enhances the botanicals, which means you need less gin in your glass to get that refreshing juniper flavour really pushing through to your taste buds.

A true sipping gin, our Seaside Navy Strength Gin is best served neat over ice or half and half with your favourite tonic and a wheel of lime. It’s also highly versatile in a range of cocktails.

But don’t just take our word for it – it won an Outstanding at the IWSC 2022, Gold at the Nordic Spirits Awards 2020, and the Craft Distilling Expo named it their Navy Gin of the Year!

In true Brighton Gin tradition, each bottle is filled, waxed and labelled by hand, topped off with our distinctive wax seal, this time in Navy Blue. Brighton Gin is vegan certified, including the waxed bottle tops, and our distillation process also means it’s gluten free.

Welcome to our Limited Edition Jammy Orange 43% ABV ! Perfect in a Negroni!

This is a special, very limited edition run for Brighton Gin’s 10th Birthday this year! We make it by using the remainder of our “naked” (i.e. peeled) oranges that we’re left with once the zest has gone into our regular distillation. These oranges get sliced up, dehydrated to caramelise the sugars and then redistilled to create a beautiful marmalade flavour, and further our goal of saving waste at the same time!

This is a proper jammy but still London Dry style gin with a long finish; slightly higher ABV of 43 % to catch all those citrus-y flavours. YUM!

You can also buy them as a 5cl mini bottle, all entirely handmade of course.
