Description
Nose: Soft juniper and dried herbs on the nose. A little citrus – orange and lemon peel, with hints of saffron. A burst of tangy rhubarb blends with bittersweet cranberry to give a fresh and fruity gin. Aromas of juicy grapefruit and fresh strawberries swirl on the nose, while juniper mingles with coriander and sweet orris root in the mouth, leaving a dry lingering finish.

The award-winning Brecon Gin series has been expanded using Brecon Special Reserve as a base for three new exciting flavoured expressions. These flavoured and coloured gins have been created with balance and creativity and will hopefully create more interest for our regular Brecon Gin customers, and bring new drinkers to the brand and the category.’
We regret that, as the production floor is an industrial area, it is not accessible to under 14s or wheelchair users. However, an alternative, part-guided tour is available. Flat shoes (no sandals/flip flops/heeled boots/heeled shoes) only to be worn on the production floor.

It is bottled at 40% abv. The bottles were designed by acclaimed drinks designer Glenn Tutssel, and the gins have been created by our all-women distilling team. TASTING NOTES
Taken neat, Brecon Gin is a big traditional juniper, laced with coriander and revealing hints of spicy cinnamon. Add a mixer and the citrus freshness of oranges and lemons appear with nutmeg, liquorice and angelica in a supporting role.
The characteristic flavours go well with tonic, ice and lemon on a warm summer’s day but Brecon’s traditional heritage is equally at home besides a roaring fire on a cold night and will bring back memories of long hot summers past.

TASTING NOTES
The nose is a rich complex of fresh juniper, followed quickly by coriander and a complexity of gin flavours. Hints of citrus mingle with oriental spices. On adding a mixer, the citrus, lemon, orange – and even bergamot – open out, as do hints of cinnamon, cloves and even saffron. A medium-length finish leaves you ready for the next mouthful.
Serving Suggestion: Try this gin with fresh mint and cucumber ice cubes for a sublime and premium experience.

Rich velvety chocolate swirls around this gin. Powdery cocoa and silky vanilla succumb to zesty, sweet orange bursts and an unmistakeably full-bodied juniper, Dry cassia bark balanced with smooth fresh cream lingers in the mouth.

BRECON BEACONS DISTILLERY
The whisky spirit is married with water from the Brecon Beacons.
Above ground during the Ice Age, ice floes covering Northern Europe had reached the latitude at which Penderyn Distillery lies c. 2.6 million years ago. On their retreating back to the Arctic, today’s landscape began to emerge.
Penderyn also lies within the bounds of the Fforest Fawr National Geopark. There are only 100 Geoparks across the globe and they are administered by UNESCO as areas which exhibit ‘geological heritage of great significance.’

Water for this distillery comes from beneath the Great Orme Lighthouse.
