Conker Distillery

A refreshing take on a classic London Dry – well balanced and led by juniper, but with the bright and refreshing Dorset notes of elderberry, samphire and hand-picked gorse flowers.

Distilled and bottled by Conker Spirit in the UK in Dorset’s first gin distillery. Conker Gin embodies the spirit of the county, a blend of British wheat spirit and New Forest Spring Water with botanicals sourced from across the Dorset coast and New Forest (a national forest).

Conker Gin uses 10 carefully selected botanical ingredients: Juniper Berry from Italy, Coriander Seed from the UK, Angelica Root from Belgium, Orris Root (iris), Cassia Bark from Indonesia, Bitter Orange Peel, Fresh Lime Peel from Mexico and Peru, Swamp Samphire from Dorset (UK), Gorse Flowers from Dorset (UK) and elderberries.

Slightly less dry in the mouth than a London Dry Gin. It is complex, layered with a clear freshness and an intriguing long finish, which evokes that second sip.

The aroma is led by juniper, but with a hint of fresh lime-citrus to brighten up. It leaves a clear and purposeful impression. The juniper also leads the flavor, but is quickly followed by spices that are slightly sweetened by the herbaceous, bluish fruit notes of the elderberry. It finishes perfectly with a long lasting citrus feeling, a perfect compliment between dry and slightly sweet.

2. Fresha Gin: This was the first fruit gin in the world to win a gold medal at the San Francisco Spirits Competition. For a true connoisseur it can be drunk ‘on the rocks’

However, if you were to mix it then Fresha should be served with good neutral tonics or lemonade. Personal favourites include; Fever Tree Elderflower, Mediterranean & Aromatic flavoured tonic.  Cocktail aficionados can use it as a replacement in any gin-based cocktail such as a Negroni, Tom Collins, Summer Cup, Cosmopolitan or Martini for a distinct fruity undertone or use it as an addition to sparkling wine for an exquisite Kir Royale or Bellini equivalent.

Fresha not only hits the mark during the summer months but can also be enjoyed throughout the whole year. Enjoy garnished with cranberries, clementine’s and cinnamon sticks in your G&T during the festive period or with strawberries & dark chocolate shards for a romantic drink.

Fresha is a versatile & rambunctious gin, there to be experienced. Let your imagination take you on a journey of discovery.

3. Beachcomber Gin: Former armed police officer Kaz Bass makes Beachcomber Gin from a flower nursery in Lymington. Her one-woman business produces around 150-200 bottles per batch, with a batch made every three to four weeks.

It is sold at several local pubs and bars, online and at events. “It will never be available in supermarkets, just the little independent shops,” she said. “It’s in Bradbeers in New Milton – that will be the biggest shop it will go into.”

4. Pothecary Gin: Hand crafted in small batches at the Soapbox Spirits distillery in Christchurch, Pothecary Gin was a double gold winner at the San Francisco World Spirit Competition. Five hand-picked botanicals from around Europe create a truly unique gin. Lavender from Provence, Sicilian lemon peel, tilia flowers form Poland, Anatolian black mulberries, and juniper from Bulgaria. The end result is a beautiful gin with a fascinating range of flavours.

POTHECARY GIN – THE PERFECT TONIC

pothecarygin our story

Pothecary Gin was created with a passion for organic, handcrafted, artisan produce. After many months of research, and tasting, Martin Jennings elected to use the less common process of distilling each botanical separately, and then blending them together before dilution, which yields incomparable, high quality aromas and flavours, creating an exciting gin that’s both well- balanced and refreshingly individual.
