Paul Feig Hollywood.
Feig, whose filmography includes Bridesmaids, The Heat and the Ghostbusters reboot, first premiered Artingstall’s Gin in the US in 2020.
The brand has now landed in the UK in both on- and off-trade channels.
“The UK is the gin capital of the world and with Artingstall’s Gin being a London Dry, I feel like we’ve finally come home,” Feig commented.
“I can’t wait for the UK to make the most delicious Martinis, G&Ts, gin and sodas and all other cocktails with my beloved award-winning Artingstall’s.”
Feig partnered with Wisconsin-based Minhas Distillery to create the liquid, and named the brand after his mother’s maiden name.
The gin features 11 botanicals, including orris root, coriander, cassia bark and cardamom, and is packaged in a bottle inspired by the decanters of the 1950s and ’60s – a nod to Feig’s interest in vintage glassware.
Priced at £39.99 (US$53.23), the gin is available to purchase from select retailers in North America, and from thewhiskyexchange.com and therake.com in the UK. It is also stocked in London cocktail bars including Claridge’s, Giovanni’s and Dukes.
Earlier this month, we reflected on the gin category’s performance in 2021 and revealed our pick of the brands to watch in the year ahead.
